| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
This basic seminar is offered for advanced-level English learners all online to improve overall English skills of learners through 3Ms (Music, Movie, Media) with a string of tasks including listening for Comprehension, Perception and Dictation. Speaking and writing activities will help you express your ideas on topics of news stories and other resources in English. Daily dictation and grammar tasks are assigned using the Internet. This class is conducted entirely in English. | ||
| 達成目標 ／Course Goals |
By the end of this semester, you are expected to achieve the following: 1. perceive subtle sounds in such words as a / the / -s / through listening perception and dictation tasks using songs, movie scenes and BBC and NHK news stories. 2. comprehend dialogs in movies and news in English 3. read and comprehend online news scripts quickly 4. write an essay on a certain topic quickly 5. expand vocabulary of international politics, economies, finance, medicine, and other major areas relevant to our daily life 6. increase your repertoire of English songs to sing and improve your pronunciation 7. acquire autonomous English learning habits that will benefit you for the rest of your life |

| 履修上の注意事項 ／Remarks |
１）授業はすべて、リアルタイムのZOOMを使用した授業になります：428-771-5060 (no password required)。授業開始５分前までに待合室で待機すること。 ２）英検準１級、TOEFL ITP５００点以上のレベルの上級者を対象とした授業です。 ３）英語のニュースのディクテーションでゼミの選考試験を行います。後日指定の日時にZOOM（ID:４２８－７７１－５０５０）にパソコンから入ってください。パスワードは不要です。スマホはだめです。 ４）ZOOM氏名欄には、座席番号（授業初日に伝えます）、大学名、曜日、時限、本名、学生番号の順番に毎回記入すること：１３ 商大金５ 山田良子（２１３０４０４０４）正しく、記入されていないと、待合室に待機させられたまま授業に参加できません。名前の変更がうまくいかない場合は、一度完全にZOOMからアウトして最初からやり直してください。 ５）周囲に人がいない静かな場所で参加すること。友人等と会話しながら出席していることは判明しだい、即時退室となり、二度と授業に戻れなくなります。 ６）授業中は教科書を常にパソコンの前に置いておくこと。辞書等もすぐ使える状態にすること。 ７）授業中は、常に顔を見せること。顔を見せた状態でZOOMに入室すること。 ８）音声は、指名されない限り、常に無音にすること。 ９）ディクテーション、その他のタスクのため、白紙やノート、筆記物も用意してください。 |
