This is acourse in first year English. It will focus mainly on speaking, but will include the other skills of listening, reading and writing as well. | ||

This will be a course of general English. Goals include: a. Build self-confidence in their speaking abilities as applicable to a variety of public and private settings. b. Express themselves at a professional level in English. c. Build a stronger knowledge of the cultures that use English as a first/additional language. | ||

Participation in the weekly discussions is 50% of your grade. There are also weekly homework assignments. A folder with these assignments is due on the last day of class. The homework assignments will account for the other 50%. | ||
