| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
The lecture is given in English. This course aims to cover basics of modern finance. In the modern world, there is a whole lot of assets real and financial. There are bonds, stocks and all the others. Quite a few of them are so-called derivatives and sound rather exotic. In this course, we will learn about those financial assets and investment in them. | ||

After taking this course, students are expected to understand what is written and told in major financial papers or news and make investment decision in financial securities. | ||
| 授業内容 ／Course contents |
First, we will see an overview of what kinds of financial assets are traded in today’s financial markets, what features they each have and how they are transacted in the actual markets. Next we will learn either theoretical aspects of fixed income securities or portfolio selection based on mean and variance. | ||
