To learn a foreign language, it can be beneficial to understand how grammar works in the light of modern language science. This course introduces the student to the basic concepts of grammar, focusing on English and Japanese. | ||

To understand the basic concepts of English grammar in comparison to Japanese. | ||
| 授業内容 ／Course contents |
In each class, the instructor will first give a 30-minute lecture based on a handout. The students will then form groups to answer the questions included in the handout. After a 30-minute group discussion, the class will go through the questions together. Lastly, the class will watch a YouTube video related to the topic. | ||

Students interested in understanding grammar more deeply are invited to reach the instructor via e-mail and/or during office hours. | ||
