| 授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
The aim of this course is to improve all four skills with special focus on speaking and listening. Class activity will alternate between vocabulary and grammar practice and student presentations on the topic discussed during the previous week. | ||

Through this course, students will practice listening and speaking about everyday topics; practice basic grammatical structures and vocabulary; learn to express and defend their opinions in a discussion and make short presentations. | ||

Grading will reflect the degree of achievement of goals a-c as follows: (a) master appropriate vocabulary and grammar (b) show appropriate reading speed and understanding (c) contribute to class discussion 100-90: exceptional contribution to the class 89-80: strong performance 79-70: meets expectations 69-60: meets expectations with support 59-0: performs below expectations |
