| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
This course aims to introduce the role of culture in intercultural communication as well as the interrelationship between culture and language. For this purpose, the course draws on everyday social experiences. | ||

You will develop a theoretically sound understanding of culture, language, and communication. You will also start thinking about power imbalances in intercultural communication. | ||

1. Active class participation (10%) 2. Jamboree presentations (10%) 3. Exams 1–3 (45%) 4. Intercultural communication examples (20%) 5. Reflective presentation (15%) *Specific evaluation criteria and preparation tips, as well as the class policy on the use of generative AI tools, are discussed in class. |
