Class preparation will involve reading ahead in the textbook to preview the contents of the class. Unfamiliar topics should be researched beforehand to provide a baseline knowledge to build upon. Class review will be conducted through the unit end essays provided by the textbook. Reports assigned as homework will be considered practice for reports written during class, so due care must be given not to rely too heavily on generative AI and translation software. |

| 成績評価の方法 /Grading |
Attendance and Participation - 33% Unit Activities - 33% Written Assessment - 33% |
||
| 成績評価の基準 /Grading Criteria |
Attendance and participation is assessed through the students ability to come to class and positively participate in the class. Discussions and pair work are very important to language study, so the unwillingness to take part in these activities will lower this grade. Activities as well are based on unit end assignments, but the grading criteria for these assignments may vary based on whether the assignment is a visual display utilizing English, a solo presentation of English or a written assignment. Written tests are based on previously assessed homework assignments, but graded for accuracy and logical consistency. More detail on this method will be given on the first day of class. |
