| 授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
This is a TOEIC preparation course. The objective of this course is to learn how to prepare for the TOEIC test and to improve TOEIC test scores. Since 1979, the TOEIC (the Test of English for International Communication) has been used internationally as a standard assessment of English-language proficiency. The TOEIC consist of two sections: Listening comprehension (100 multiple-choice questions) and Reading Comprehension (100 multiple-choice questions). Separate scores are given for Listening Comprehension (5-495) and Reading Comprehension (5-495). These two sub-scores are added to arrive at the total score. The TOEIC score is represented on a scale of 10-990 and is based on the total number of correct answers. In this course, students are required to study TOEIC test-taking strategies, techniques used to help students approach and answer test questions. The objective is to help students attain better test scores on both sections of the test. This course will be divided into two sections: Listening Comprehension and Reading Comprehension. The Listening comprehension section is divided into 4 skills sections: photographs, question-response, conversations and talks. The Reading Comprehension section is divided into 3 skills sections: incomplete sentences, text completion and reading comprehension. |
