授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
Course Objectives:
• To develop students' English reading skills and comprehension.
• To expand students' vocabulary and grammar knowledge through reading.
• To improve students' communication skills in English.
• To enhance students' critical thinking and analytical skills through discussions.

Course Methods:
• Reading of real-world stories.
• Group discussions and debates related to the readings to facilitate critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Vocabulary exercises to expand students' vocabulary related to the texts.
• Pair or group work to encourage students' collaboration and communication skills.
• Writing exercises based on the readings to practice writing skills and reinforce comprehension.

/Course Goals
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Read and analyze various types of English texts with improved comprehension skills.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills by evaluating texts and participating in group discussions and debates.
• Communicate effectively in English for different contexts, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Apply the skills developed in the course to prepare for academic and professional reading in English.

/Grading Criteria
Your final grade will be based on the total score:

A(秀): 100-90 
Excellent performance on the requirements of the class
B(優): 89-80
Good performance on the requirements of the class
C(良): 79-70
Acceptable performance on the requirements of the class
D(可): 69-60
Minimally acceptable performance on the requirements of the class
F(不可): 59-0
Unacceptable performance on the requirements of the class

*You will automatically fail the course if you are absent 6 or more times.
