| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
The aim of this course is to improve all four skills with a special focus on speaking and listening. Each week, students will watch a short video before class and answer some questions. During class, we will discuss the answers and practice the vocabulary and expressions from the video. |

Through this course, students will practice listening and speaking about everyday topics from an intercultural perspective; learn to express and defend their opinions and make short presentations. |

Grading will reflect the degree of achievement of goals a-c as follows: a. master appropriate vocabulary and grammar b. make a short presentation in English c. contribute to class discussion 100-90: exceptional contribution to the class 89-80: strong performance 79-70: meets expectations 69-60: meets expectations with support 59-0: performs below expectations |
