授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
In this course, students will participate in topic-based conversations in pairs and groups for personalized and learner-centered interaction.  There will also be special emphasis on observing how people actually use English and developing “conversation management” strategies.  

The objectives are:
(i)practice the vocabulary, grammar, and functions encountered most often in real life.
(ii) develop the conversation strategies needed for effective conversations, such as checking understanding.
(iii) develop speaking fluency through interactive, personalized activities on high-interest topics.
(iv) develop confidence in clear and effective self-expression.
(v) develop fluency and confidence in writing through weekly journal and essay writing for independent study.
