授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
The aim of this course is to improve students’ English communication skills. The course will engage students with daily topics through speaking, listening and writing exercises. Students are highly encouraged to apply what they have learned into daily communication. They will be given many opportunities to practice by taking part in various activities before, during and after class, such as pair work, group discussion and presentation.

Students will be able to:
-Improve their speaking fluency and confidence.
-Develop the ability to give an oral presentation in English.
-Have a good discussion on the reading materials by expressing their own views and listening carefully to other’s opinions.
-Apply the skills to daily communication.

/Grading
Students will be evaluated according to their class contribution, assignments and final presentation.  
All students should always do their best to participate actively in English. Students who participate positively in class will receive higher marks.

Class participation: 20%
Presentation: 10%
Homework tasks: 50%
Final Presentation: 20%
履修上の注意事項
/Remarks
Students will need the course textbook by the third class.
For online classes, students will need to turn on their camera and microphone during the class.
The class will be conducted in English and students will be encouraged to communicate entirely in English.
