| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
このクラスは、短期留学プログラムの留学生と学部留学生が、学生生活の基盤となる地域社会について学ぶ授業です。特に日々の学生生活の場面で遭遇する「言葉と文化」について考えます。短期留学プログラムの新入生には、これは日本での留学生活をより円滑にスタートさせる為のオリエンテーションともなりますし、学部留学生にとっては、様々な文化的背景を持つ留学生と交流し、異文化間コミュニケーションを実践するよい機会ともなります。 This course is designed for both the exchange students through YOUC program and the regular international students to learn about the local society that provides the basis of their student life. In particular, they do so in the aspects of “Language and Culture” which they are to encounter in every situation of their daily student life. This course will serve as an orientation for those new exchange students to make a smooth transition to life in a foreign social environment. For those regular international students, this course will provide an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. |

| 授業内容 ／Course contents |
このクラスでは日本語能力レベルの異なる学生が一緒に学ぶことになりますので、授業は基本的に英語と日本語を併用して進めます。「生活の中の言葉」をテーマに、グループで幾つかのプロジェクトを立案実行し、クラスでレポートするというのが主な内容です。 Since this course is to be taken by students with different language proficiency levels, the class will be conducted in both English and Japanese. Students will engage in various group projects focusing on “Language and Culture”. They are to plan and conduct a research project and give an oral report in the class. |
