| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
This seminar is designed for the first year students to learn basic skills for reading and presenting on business and economic issues. It is given by three instructors who specialize in Development Economics, Finance, and Econometrics. Each instructor will introduce topics in their areas of expertise and students will read or watch related materials in advance and have discussion sessions on the topics in classes. |

The goals of this class are 1) to obtain basic knowledge on topics to be discussed in this course 2) to learn how to search relevant information on the topics including data and related articles 3) to learn how to read business and economic articles 4) to learn how to summarize the main contents of articles and present them in English |

| 授業内容 ／Course contents |
Instruction will be given mainly in English and supplementarily in Japanese. Prof. Matsumoto will cover topics on Development Economics. Prof. Ikeda will cover topics on Business Economics. Prof. Iwasawa will cover topics on Business Statistics. |

英語による講義や発表があるので、英語運用能力が高い、もしくは強い意欲のある学生の履修が好ましい。将来、グローカル副専攻の履修希望がある学生、短期留学プログラムに参加をしたい学生の履修が好ましい。内容は変わることがあります。 | ||
