授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
This lecture will discuss the several paths to the native competence of English speakers through patterning of syntactic structure, case frames, meanings of verb, and development of word and sentence meaning based on cognitive linguistics.  Throughout the lectures you are encouraged to actively take part in the discussion and build up confidence to make a report on your own project and present it at the class.  Although the lecture and discussion will be conducted basically in English, feel free to use either English or Japanese in the discussion.
