授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
This course offers a communicative engagement with narrative readings. Narrative is the most widely used discourse genre and has the inherent power to encourage meaningful interaction and discussion.   The stories featured use common idioms and highlight points of cultural interest.  Students will do continuous pair-work activities relying on each other for input.

/Course Goals
Develop oral fluency through timed speaking and repetition.  Teach idioms and their meaning.  Use picture stories as a speaking plan.
