| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
This course revises the basic concepts of English grammar and vocabulary to understand oral and written communication to prepare for the TOEIC IP Test. All students must take the TOEIC IP test at the end of the course. Your English reading and listening skills will be enhanced through TOEIC practice drills and exercises. You are expected to participate in the class actively and fulfill all homework assignments. |

- To improve English reading and listening skills to raise your score on the TOEIC test. - Upon completing this course, students will be able to read basic articles in newspapers, especially articles on business matters. |

Grades will be given throughout the semester based on classroom exercises, homework exercises and tests as follows: Attendance & Participation: 10% 100 points Quizzes/Mini Tests: 20% 200 points Homework: 20% 200 points Final Test (TOEIC IP): 50% 500 points Total: 100% 1000 points Points = Course Grade 1000-900 = A (秀) 899-800 = B (優) 799-700 = C (良) 699-600 = D (可) 599-0 = F (不可) |

Eligibility & Enrollment 適格と登録 To take this class: (i) You must have taken a previous an English A2/B2 class, including completing all the class requirements (coursework, attendance, participation, etc.) (ii) You must have taken the TOEIC IP Test in a previous English A2/B2 class. **IF YOU DO NOT MEET BOTH THESE CONDITIONS YOU CAN NOT ENROLL FOR THIS COURSE** TOEIC IP Test All students must take the TOEIC IP Test at the end of the course. TEST DATE: 30 July, 2016 (Saturday) ATTENDANCE * Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class. * 30 minutes late = absence. * Absence without both an advance notice and an official document will count 1 absence. If you are absent more than four times, you will lose the credit. * If you miss a class quiz or mini-test, the points can not be made up. |
